The World Climate Foundation, in collaboration with the Geneva Health Forum, organizes the World Resilience Summit on Wednesday 24 May 2023 at the Campus Biotech in Geneva.
Alongside the 76th World Health Assembly, the World Resilience Summit aims to contribute to the implementation of the Pandemic Treaty by establishing a public-private dialogue on creating solutions for prevention, preparedness and response of future pandemics. It will equally engage actors across climate, biodiversity and health, aligned with the One Health approach.
From 3.30pm to 6.00pm, the World Resilience Summit will host three concurring roundtables. Each roundtables will include 8 participants from health, business, government and civil society organisations. The following topics will be addressed :
- Pandemic prevention : What are the essential solutions and how can we engage all relevant parties?
- How can private sector and civil society be part of capacity building and early warning systems?
- How can data and pathogen sharing & access contribute to a better post COVID-19 scenario?
From 6.30pm, Plenary and Reception (Evening, On-registration) : The Summit will continue with a plenary session to present key results and recommendations from the roundtables, followed by a Cocktail Reception offering exclusive networking opportunities.
Presentation and discussion will be in English.
